Prom Set Up
There was a big group of people who helped me set up for prom a day before. We were given about 3 hours and were able to finish everything on time. We encountered some problems which was causing some of us to stress out but we fixed them as a team and got through it. It was a lot of fun and was something that took a lot of work and effort.

Senior Bowling!
I'm glad many of you enjoyed this senior activity. Our next activity will be to go roller skating so you will be hearing details about that soon!
Masks are almost done!
The mask committee has been working really hard on the masks and hopes to finish them by the end of this week so that they can be handed out to the class and they can have them in advance in case they want to add something else to the masks themselves. We hope you guys like them!
Yard Sale Fundraiser
Our yard sale fundraiser went great! We were selling between the hours of 6 a.m to 12 pm. and fundraised $333.65
Starbucks sales continue!
We have had two more Starbucks sales and they have gone pretty good. We have had difficulties along the way but are still making sales and making profit.
Almost time!
Prom is now right around the corner and the prom committee has been meeting more often making final decisions and preparing everything for the big day. We are now getting down to the details of the event and arranging everything from decoration, food, speeches, schedule, etc. We are very excited and hope the class is as well!

Prom In Progress
The prom committee has been meeting at least once a week and has already announced the theme to the senior class. We are beginning to talk about the details of the event along with working with the mask committee to come to final decisions on everything that needs to be discussed.

Service Learning
I recently went to my service learning on Friday ( 11-31-12) and got the chance to attend a quinceanera. The girl was a ballet dancer so there were a lot of objects and decorations representing that in her party.
The party went great. Though there were a couple of problems, which in a way were good, because I was able to see what an event planner has to do in order to solve those problems.
1st problem:Client took her own cake and didn't calculate the portion servings correctly. There were 72 cupcakes and 1 cake on top for 200 guests. The cake itself can probably serve about 50-60 slices. Meaning only about 130 guests will get a cake/cupcakes.
Solution: Waited to see how many guests were still there by the cake cutting time (9p.m). If there's a need for more cake, the waiters will cut the cake smaller but enough for there to be a good portion.
2nd Problem: Pastor was late, which messes up the whole schedule.

Solution: Just go with it. Depending on the schedule, you can try to do two things at one. Example: Have dinner and show the Quinceanera video at the same time. (Depends what the client will let you do)
